Masculine Garden

Even though I am a total tomboy at heart, I still cannot get enough of pretty, feminine prints. From florals to polka dots, I love it all! But if I am going to wear something that brings out my more girlish side, I never truly feel like myself without adding a slight masculine touch, like I do here with my new Alaia trousers that I picked up at a vintage shop this weekend. They are total man pants, but with their soft woolly texture, high waist line, and ankle skimming length, they feel right at home alongside my most feminine prints.

This week I will be constantly hitting the books for class, but I have an upcoming shoot for Joie later in the week that I am pretty excited about since I love their clothes! Until next time, adios!

Floral Impressions

(H&M Garden Collection Maxi Dress)

This dress originally looks like this but it was a bit too much for me with all the ruffles going on and I felt like I was wearing a costume. To make it less costume-y I tied the the two straps together and safety pinned it. All went well until... well until Charcoal decided he wanted to jump up and bite my dress and my dress came undone and I was standing just with my underwear on. Fortunately it was in front of my boyfriend only. lol
Now I'm off to the airport to go to Dallas, TX for a fun shoot. woo hoo!
Hope you guys have a wonderful week and for those who are going back to school, Good luck on your first day of school! <3

I know I can't beat last year's traveling which consisted of 13 plane rides, but I'm off to Texas on Monday then to New York the week after and back to LA at the end of the month of September.
I'm kind of excited for Texas as I've never been there before and I seriously can't wait for warm weather. I know I talked about how beautiful San Francisco was a few days ago but the guy who's in charge of the weather up there decided to give us cold windy weather once again which resulted in Wes, Charcoal, and I to go to Palo Alto today. I might just have to move to Palo Alto if I can't move back home just because it's 5 degrees warmer!

God must have heard Wes and I complaining about the weather because San Francisco was unbelievably beautiful the past 3 days.
This super hot 80 degrees + weather has made my trip to go get Mexican food that much more enjoyable.

Lounging in my Cargos

I'm ecstatic to have gotten to test out the new cargos over at James Jeans. I love the skinny fit, thick material, and rugged side pockets. A perfect everyday jean. And they are very tomboy and masculine, one of my favorite looks! I'm really happy this look is coming back in style. I don't remember the last time I had cargos!

Recently, I've been busy juggling work and school. It's kind of hectic, but I love how I'm never bored. There's always something for me to do, which is nice. I like being on the move. Working on this blog is one of my favorite parts of the day though. I like how I can be creative while playing around with it. Just being completely in control. I know everyone's still got the back to school blues so I made this little collage. Kind of makes you rethink your Fall wardrobe eh?

There's a Party Going on in Every Corner

My popular and super down to earth blogger friends Rachel and Taghrid invited me to the Havianas Party on Saturday and I had a blast. I was reunited with Natalie my dance partner whom I met at the Forever 21 party, met Geri for the first time and was seriously blown by her flawless skin and cute drunkness.
The best part about the party? Free In-n-Out burgers, tacos, free drinks, and a flip book booth.
Natalie uploaded a flip book of us which you can see here.

A Conversation With the Trees

(Gifted Charlotte Russe Lace Dress, NYLA Platform Boots)

These photos were taken during our drive back to San Francisco from LA.
Besides talking about how sad Charcoal seemed to be away from his new girlfriend Bijju, 90% of our conversation was about how much we wanted to move back to LA.
Waking up to sunshine every morning instead of fog was such a pleasure and walking the dogs in my boxer shorts and T-shirt felt so much better than walking Charcoal in a faux fur coat with boots.
I'm really going to try my hardest to go back home at least once a month. =)

From New York to Baltimore

I almost completely forgot to post these photos taken in Baltimore, Maryland. While I was in New York, I started to feel a bit anxious and really just wanted to escape for a day so my sister and I took a coach to Baltimore. We got dropped off pretty far from Inner Harbor, but eventually made it there by bus. It was definitely worth the long hours sitting on our bums. Inner Harbor was absolutely gorgeous and calming. I love the smell of the water. A sweet mix of seafood and sea salt. Baltimore city, being one of the oldest seaports in America, has so much history and charm. The best part of our day was just resting at the top of a park overlooking all of Baltimore. I could have stayed there all night! It was really hot and humid so I stayed cool in a Calista silk tank and skinny jeans. Just really casual and comfy for the long rides on the coach bus to and from New York. I love supporting and wearing the clothes of the labels I work for. The brands I work with are usually the ones I would actually wear normally as well. Calista is one of my favorites considering the designers are so loyal and great girls to work with! We got together in New York and shot some of their newest pieces. I had so much fun. I loved the bright bold lipstick and smoky eye! The collection has a very tailored look with cool, classic cuts. Their lace and silk fabrics are their signature. Items that will never go out of style.

Behind the Scenes from the Calista shoot in New York!

Movie Hoppin

(Ramona West Vintage Dress, Delvaux bag, Brooklyn Threads bracelet, SoftSpots shoes)

Just a quick little post! Wore this out and about over the weekend. I'm into mixing prints this time of year just to make my wardrobe a little more exciting and fun. I'm pretty sure the shoes are already on the feet of numerous grandmas. They are incredibly squishy, slightly squeaky, and "made for comfort." But hell, they look cool and feel amazing! Who cares if they were made for ladies 60 and over right?! Anyhow, like almost every other person this weekend, I went to the movies. I saw both Dinner with Schmucks and Eat Pray Love. Dinner with Schmucks was actually kind of funny at some parts. Others, not so much. Eat Pray Love could have been so much better, but I'm in love with Julia Roberts so it didn't really matter. The scenery was really gorgeous though. They really captured the beauty of Bali. I miss Bali so much, although the movie really makes me want to take a trip to India. It looks like a crazy fun place. Much like Malaysia, I hear the streets are chaos. Just a really loud mix of motorcycles and the smell of fried food vendors on the sidewalks. MY kind of place! Its insane, but I'm sure I'll love it. Currently, my aunt is in Shanghai. Apparently, everything is "daaaaamn cheap." Hmm, maybe that will be a holiday destination in the near future! It's hard for me to stay in one place for long periods of time. Enough of my rambling, I've gotta hit the sack. I have a shoot at 8am, which means getting up super early to beat traffic and make it there in one piece! Night night everyone!

A while back a visitor/reader noticed that I was wearing my YSL ring upside down.... hahaha I thought that's how it was suppose to be.
Thanks to the anonymous person who left that comment. The ring looks a lot better this way
